Sophomore guard Katie Mathews scored a season- and career-high 22 points as DePauw (Ind.) University defeated Baldwin-Wallace College, 74-63, in a nonleague women's basketball game at Neal Fieldhouse in Greencastle, Ind.

North Royalton High School's girls softball teamwill be holding a fundraiser on Friday, Jan. 23, at Doc's Bar and Grille in Broadview Hts from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There will be an all-you-can-eat wing and hot dog buffet as well as salad and dessert. Class F 13-14 State District Runner Up and Class F 13-14 State District Champion. Hot Stove is available for ages 8 through 18. It is geared for players beyond an instructional recreation league but not interested in the highly competitive nationally sanctioned leagues. Open registration commenced Nov. 1. The Medina girls couldn't stretch their basketball winning streak to three games as the Queen Bees fell to Midpark, 53-49, in a nonleague matchup. Both teams now stand 5-3 on the season.

Yellow Jacket men defeated by Wilmington College
Junior guard Tyler Ledford scored a game-high 19 points and led three double figure scorers as the Wilmington College men defeated Baldwin-Wallace College, 73-68, in an Ohio Athletic Conference basketball game in Wilmington.
