In the past few months we have had bank failures, bank rescues, bankruptcies, company closing, foreclosure, layoffs, buyouts and salary give-backs.

• Banks, auto companies got holiday gift, not the public
Our Congress still has it wrong. The horse goes before the cart, no matter to the consumer how much you give the car companies for Christmas. Did you get a thank you from the banks?

• It is time take our city streets back from the criminals
I have lived in Maple Heights for 22 years. We chose to buy in this community because, at the time, it was a safe, middle-class neighborhood with affordable housing. Due to financial circumstances at this time, I am unable to move to an area that would potentially provide me with a safer environment.
